We finally tried Frank & Margie’s in Round Rock, and it definitely lived up to the hype! We started with the Caesar salad, which my husband and I shared. The portion was huge, making it well worth the price. For my entrée, I ordered the vodka rigatoni. The sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, and the toasted breadcrumbs on top added the perfect finishing touch. My husband had the chicken parmesan with fettuccine Alfredo, and both were delicious. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. For drinks, we tried the Old Fashioned, Strawberry Fields cocktail, and an espresso martini. The espresso martini was easily my favorite and is now one of my favorites in Round Rock! It’s a little on the pricey side, but the generous portions, excellent food, and great cocktails make it absolutely worth it. This is definitely our new go-to spot for a date night, and we’ll definitely be back!

Upon arriving, the hostess asked us if we had a reservation. We let her know that we did not, and she proceeded to tell us that there would be an hour wait even though there were plenty of empty tables. We were okay with waiting as I wanted to catch on conversation with my partner, and she was shocked when we said "OK" to the wait. Turns out she lied to us to try to get us to go away, and we were seated within 5 minutes after arriving. This made us feel very awkward, uncomfortable, and unwelcome throughout our meal. Our waitress was one of the only positives: she was great and she treated us respectfully. The food was very good and had really good flavor; however, some of the pasta seemed very under cooked and a little crunchy in the rigatoni a la vodka. The tiramasu had a little too much chocolate powder dusted on top, to where it would stick to the top of your mouth and leave a chalky feel. I would not come to this restaurant again.

The food was excellent. We had the meatballs and bone marrow garlic bread for an appetizer and two pasta dishes. It was delicious and great ambiance.

We started with fried mozzarella which is so good in taste then we tried super tasty salad. Vodka pasta is so top notch along with focaccia garlic bread. Which is super good combination. Then we tried burrata pizza 🍕 so yum and perfect. At the end we had tiramisu which is super good. Expresso martini is must try drink. They have good wine options too.

TLDR- Fantastic Service and Fantastic Food, but it's very busy and loud Despite a few hiccups with seating, because it was incredibly busy, Frank and Margie's was an absolutely amazing Italian experience. The service was top notch, and the hostess, Sam, went above and beyond to make sure my fiancé and I were able to get seated in good seats despite the setback we had with initial seating due to it being busier than they had originally anticipated. (We had made a reservation about 3 weeks in advance, and if you want to go here during peak hours, I would absolutely reccommend doing the same.) Our server Daniel was great, and very attentive throughout the whole meal. They truly had top notch service from the moment we arrived. For the appetizer we started out with the Wagyu and Elk Meatballs, and they were delectable. They were amazingly tender, and the sauce was divine. They were topped with olives, cheese and herbs, and it was a delight to the palate. For the entrées we ordered the Lamb Pappardelle and the Creamy Pesto Cavatelli. They were both truly divine.
